Rhode Island Supreme Court schedules bar admission ceremonies for April 2026

The Rhode Island Supreme Court has scheduled a series of swearing-in ceremonies for new attorneys who have been admitted through Uniform Bar Examination score transfer, according to an announcement on April 2.

These ceremonies are significant as they formally induct individuals into the legal profession in Rhode Island, marking the culmination of their studies and examination process.

The first ceremony will take place on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 9:00 AM with Justice William P. Robinson III presiding. Thomas M. Dickinson, Esq., a member of the Board of Bar Examiners, and Dana M. Horton, Esq., President-Elect of the Rhode Island Bar Association, will also participate. Eleven candidates are listed to be sworn in during this session.

A second ceremony is scheduled for later that day at 11:00 AM before Justice Erin Lynch Prata with Michael St. Pierre, Esq., Board member; and Dana M. Horton participating again alongside eleven additional candidates.

On Monday, April 13, two more sessions are planned: one at 10:00 AM with Justice William P. Robinson III and another at 2:00 PM with Justice Melissa A. Long presiding over each respective group of ten candidates per session along with representatives from the Board of Bar Examiners and Patrick A. Guida, Esq., President of the RI Bar Association.

The list of names provided includes those who will be officially admitted to practice law in Rhode Island following these ceremonies.
