The Rhode Island Supreme Court announced on Apr. 24 that swearing-in ceremonies for successful candidates of the February 2026 and July 2025 Rhode Island Bar Examinations will be held in May 2026.
These ceremonies are important milestones for new attorneys, marking their official entry into the legal profession in Rhode Island.
The first ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 10:00 AM and will be presided over by Justice William P. Robinson III. Participants include Carly Beauvais Iafrate, Esq., a member of the Board of Bar Examiners, and Patrick A. Guida, Esq., President of the Rhode Island Bar Association. The following candidates are listed to be sworn in: Laura Reed Bateman, Amy Lynne Bath, David Michael Braga, Austin Botelho Cabral, Domenico Raffaele Campagnone, Abigail Orquidia Castillo, Katherine Jane Childs; Joseph Theodore Coppola*, Amanda DeSimone Corsaro*, Samuel Garrett Dunkle, Julianna Lynn Fonseca (*Rule 1A Attorney Admission Candidates).
A second ceremony on Tuesday, May 5 at 2:00 PM will feature Justice Erin Lynch Prata along with Deborah M. Tate, Esq., Member of the Board of Bar Examiners; Patrick A. Guida also participating again. The candidates for this session include Sebastian Gustave**, Jeffrey Robert Gribouski*, Christopher Thomas Hampton**, Gloria Lynn Hill Hand, Wendi Roxanne Kotal*, Judy SH Lee, Bridget Aileen Lopez*; Gregory Karl Lyon*, Marisa-Lyn Menna*, Ashley Nicole Nicholson and Anne Skeels Raish* (*Rule 1A Attorney Admission Candidates).
The final ceremony is set for Friday, May 8 at 2:00 PM with Justice Melissa A. Long presiding alongside William J. Conley Jr., Esq., Member of the Board of Bar Examiners and Patrick A. Guida as well. Candidates include Kathryn Mary Robinson; Megan Elizabeth Rok*, Nicola Philip Salvaggio; Pragati Sellon; Lee Baird Staley*; Olivia Morgan Tourgee*; Zachary Douglas Trainor; Emily Madison Van Auken; Stephan Michael Warner* and Phillip Humberto Wullschleger (*Rule 1A Attorney Admission Candidates).
These events signify an important step forward for new members joining the state’s legal community.
