A Dominican national, Kelvin Roberto Feliz, has pleaded guilty to illegally reentering the United States after being deported in 2015. The announcement was made by Acting United States Attorney Sara Miron Bloom.

Feliz, 54, had previously been convicted for heroin trafficking in September 2014 and subsequently deported in July 2015. He has been held at the Adult Correctional Institution since June 2024 on an unrelated matter. In federal court, Feliz admitted to returning to the country without authorization following his earlier removal.

Sentencing is set for October 9, 2025. A federal district judge will determine the sentence based on U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and statutory factors.

“This case is part of Operation Take Back America a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime. Operation Take Back America streamlines efforts and resources from the Department’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).”

The prosecution is being handled by Assistant United States Attorney Paul F. Daly, Jr., with Immigration and Customs Enforcement conducting the investigation.
