Christian Carrion, a 32-year-old resident of Central Falls, pleaded guilty on Mar. 25 in federal court to distributing fentanyl, according to an announcement by United States Attorney Charles C. Calenda.
Carrion faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison, up to a $10 million fine, and at least four years of supervised release. Sentencing is scheduled for June 25, and the final penalty will be determined by a federal district judge who will consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
Court documents show that the FBI Safe Streets Task Force identified Carrion as being involved in distributing fentanyl during its investigation. In May 2025, Carrion sold about 56 grams of fentanyl to another individual. Two weeks later, law enforcement executed a search warrant at his residence and seized cocaine.
Assistant United States Attorneys Julianne Klein and Peter I. Roklan are prosecuting the case. The investigation was led by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force.
The Safe Streets Task Force includes agents and officers from several agencies: the FBI; Rhode Island State Police; police departments from Cranston, Woonsocket, Pawtucket, West Warwick, and Central Falls; the U.S. Marshals Service; and the Rhode Island Department of Corrections.
